Default How to deal with scared patients

It is a common knowledge that there are a lot of people who are afraid of going to the dentist. However there are still some dentists who have a regular clientele for years.

Any tips for aspiring dentists? We don't want to be feared, so how do we assure them that they are safe?

You walk into the room, you introduce yourself, and everything you do from that point on is wrong.

Default yeah thank you

I think that the best thing is to use sedation when it comes to those scared poor patients. My clinic used that in my case. I sometimes fly to a Polish clinic as I have family in Poland and I also have the chance to use a very nice clinic there. Sedation and professional care for less than the UK, not even mentioning Norway...

you wear then down with repeated acts of trust and trust building acts. you say what you do and do what you say. repitition is the answer on all levels.

and then you walk, eat, sleep, talk, sweat, blink, dream, scream, whisper, and exude quality...........

do that and your patients will sleep while you work because they feel that they are being truly taken care of
